Valia Karatosidi grew up in Farsala and lives in Athens. She graduated from the Psychology Department of Panteion University of Social and Political Studies in 2011. Subsequently she received her master’s degree (M.Sc) in Clinical Neuropsychology in the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in collaboration with the Health Science Center, University of Texas, USA.
Since July 2018 she has been working on her doctoral thesis at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture, under the supervision of the Assistant Professsor Iordanoglou Dimitra. She has volunteered as a clinical neuropsychologist at the 1st Psychiatry Department and at the Memory Clinics of the 1st Department of Neurology of Eginition Hospital. Since 2014 she has been working as a clinical neuropsychologist in the Brain Injury Day Treatment Unit of ELEPAP Athens.
She has taught psychology of learning, cognitive neuropsychology, social psychology, biological bases of behaviour and introduction to psychology at private colleges. She has attented various seminars related to Clinical Psychopathology, to Statistical Analysis of fMRI, etc. Furthermore, she has been training in Cognitive Psychotherapies at the University Mental Health Research Institute. She is the author of 15 research publications in international conferences and international scientific journals. Her research interests lie in the fields of neuroleadership, social neuroscience and human resource development.
