Eleni Pnevmatikou graduated with Honors from the School of Fine Arts, Film Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (integrated Master). She is specialized in film directing, production and editing. She is also a graduate of the interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program "Applied-Clinical Sociology & Art", held by the University of the Aegean (Department of Sociology) and the University of Western Macedonia (School of Fine Arts). Since the beginning of 2020 Eleni is a PhD candidate in the Department of Communication, Media & Culture of Panteion University, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Angeliki Gazi, where Eleni investigates the management of Cultural Trauma due to spatial displacement, through the use of Virtual Reality applications.
Since 2019, Eleni has been an Academic Fellow at the Department of Communication & Digital Media of the University of Western Macedonia in Kastoria, where she is responsible for the laboratory courses about image/video capture and editing. She has directed and edited numerous educational videos for museums, cultural organizations and educational programs (Erasmus, Horizon 2020, START). Eleni is the director of TEDxThessaloniki, where she edits the videos of the talks. In addition, in 2019 Eleni worked at the NuBoyana Film Studios in Sofia, as an intern, in collaboration with EKOME (the National Center of Audiovisual Media & Communication).
