Tην Τρίτη 14 & 21 Μαΐου και ώρα 12:15 - 15:00 στο πλαίσιο του μαθήματος της κ. Πατρίσιας Κόκκορη «English Language for Cultural Studies», στην αίθουσα Α2 (Νέο Κτήριο) θα έχουμε την τιμή να ακούσουμε τoν Mark Axelrod, Καθηγητή Συγκριτικής και Αγγλικής Λογοτεχνίας του Πανεπιστημίου Chapman, Orange, της Καλιφόρνιας, επισκέπτη μέσω του προγράμματος Fulbright Specialist. Θέμα των ομιλιών του η συγγραφή σεναρίου με παραδείγματα από κινηματογραφικά έργα.
Ο καθηγητής Axelrod έχει διδάξει σεναριογραφία στις ΗΠΑ, την Ευρώπη και τη Λατινική Αμερική και έχει εκδώσει τα βιβλία Aspects of the Screenplay (2001), Character and Conflict: The Cornerstones of Screenwriting (2004), I Read it at The Movies: The Follies and Foibles of Screen Adaptation (2006),Constructing Dialogue: From Citizen Kane to Midnight in Paris (2013).
Για το συγγραφικό του έργο έχει βραβευτεί επανειλημμένως (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, κ.ά.).

On Tuesday, May 14 & 21, in the class of Ass. Prof. Patricia Kokori «English Language for Cultural Studies», we will have the honour of hearing Mark Axelrod, Professor of Comparative Literature and English at the University of Chapman, Orange, California, a visitor with the Fulbright Specialist program. The topic (subject) of his talks is crafting screenplays with examples from feature films. Professor Axelrod has taught screenwriting in the US, Europe and Latin America and has published the books: Aspects of the Screenplay (2001), Character and Conflict: The Cornerstones of Screenwriting (2004), I Read it at The Movies: The Follies and Foibles of Screen Adaptation (2006). For his novels and screenplays, he has been awarded repeatedly (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and others).
Those interested in meeting this multitalented person will also have the opportunity to hear a reading of one of his short stories inspired by having known Samuel Beckett!
