The Greek Film Production: 1942-1990. Cultural and production changes
Christos Xenos was born in Amaliada Ilias and raised in Athens. He graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department of TEI Piraeus and the Department of European Cultural Studies of the Greek Open University (with honours). He is also a holder of MA Cultural Management (with honours) from the Department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University, where he is preparing his doctoral thesis since January 2016 on "The Greek Film Production: 1942-1990. Cultural and production changes", under the supervision of Assistant Professor Martha Michailidou. His research interests are related to sociology, theory and history of cinema, and the production process, culture and structure of the film and creative industries, while he’s actively engaged in the field of culture: author of two poetry books and a collection of short stories, director and screenwriter of a short film, served as a radio producer and as a lyricist he participates in Greek discography.
