Foteini Salmouka holds a MA in Cultural Management from Panteion University of Social and Political Studies (Department of Communication, Media and Culture), a BSc in Mathematics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of Mathematics), a Diploma in Composition and is an Advanced Music Theory graduate. Her PhD thesis (2019- , supervisor: Andromache Gazi, Associate Professor) “Museum’s sound culture: strategies for the creative integration of sound in curatorial practice” explores the relationship between museum and sound, from the formation of the museum institution until today, the role of sound in museum practice and the potential of the use of sound as an interpretive medium in museum exhibitions. Her research interests include the relationship between visual and auditory perception, the use of new technologies in the museum space, the evaluation of museum experience and digital museology.
