Stavroula Dargonaki was born in Athens in 1987 and grew up in Chalkida. She studied Communication and Mass Media at University of Athens, Theory and History of Art at Athens School of Fine Arts and completed her MA in Cultural Management at Panteion University. Since January 2016, she is PhD student in the Department of Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University. Her thesis focuses on digital labor and labor ethics in professional gaming and is supervised by Dr. Martha Michailidou. Her research interests include creative labor, new forms of productive consumption, digital and video game culture and gendered dimensions of contemporary production. She is currently working in the publishing sector.
