Vasilopoulou Chrissa

The contribution of the Veterans of the Greek War of Independence to the protection and preservation of Greek antiquities during the 19th century

 

Chrissa was born and raised in Athens, where she currently works as an archaeologist. She studied History and Archaeology at the University of Athens and received an MSc in Information Management in the Cultural Sector from City, University of London and an MA in Cultural Organisations Management from the Hellenic Open University. She is currently working on her PhD thesis under the supervision of Assistant Professor Andromache Gazi. Her research focuses on the contribution of the Veterans of the Greek War of Independence to the protection and preservation of Greek antiquities during the 19th century. In the past she has worked at the Benaki Museum, the Technological Educational Institute of Patras and the Greek Ministry of Culture.
