Antigone Zogka was born in Argentina and grew up in Greece. She studied Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Audiovisual Media at the Universitat de Barcelona (Erasmus program), and holds a master’s degree in Cultural Management from the Panteion University. She has worked in Greece and in Italy as an editor and critic for magazines and newspapers, in film and theatre productions, and has collaborated with festivals and cultural organizations. Her novel Elena Morado was published by Kedros Editions and her short stories Kintsugi by Iolkos Publications. She worked with the startup incubator Orange Grove as Operations Manager, and is part of the pro bono Mentor Network of the Bodossaki Foundation at Social Dynamo, sharing her skills and expertise in the Cultural Management Field. She is currently working on her PhD research titled “Cultural Startups in Greece and Sustainable Growth”, under the supervision of Professor Nikos Leandros.

Η Αντιγόνη Ζόγκα γεννήθηκε στην Αργεντινή και μεγάλωσε στην Ελλάδα. Σπούδασε στο Τμήμα Θεατρικών Σπουδών του ΕΚΠΑ, και Οπτικοακουστικά Μέσα στο Universitat de Barcelona (πρόγραμμα Erasmus), ενώ ολοκλήρωσε με άριστα τις μεταπτυχιακές της σπουδές στην Πολιτιστική Διαχείριση, στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο. Έχει εργαστεί σε Ελλάδα και Ιταλία ως συντάκτρια και κριτικός σε εφημερίδες και περιοδικά, σε κινηματογραφικές και θεατρικές παραγωγές, και έχει συνεργαστεί με φεστιβάλ και πολιτιστικούς οργανισμούς.

Έχει συγγράψει δύο βιβλία, το μυθιστόρημα Ελένα Μοράδο, που κυκλοφόρησε από τις εκδόσεις Κέδρος, και τη συλλογή διηγημάτων Κιντσούγκι, από τις εκδόσεις Ιωλκός. Υπήρξε Υπεύθυνη Λειτουργίας στο πρότυπο εκκολαπτήριο νεανικής επιχειρηματικότητας Orange Grove, και είναι μέντορας στο δίκτυο του Social Dynamo του Ιδρύματος Μποδοσάκη, στον τομέα της Πολιτιστικής Διαχείρισης.

Messini Sophia

PhD dissertation title: "Data Mining in Political Science - Visualize the Political Field of Greece"

Sophia Messini is a PhD candidate in the Department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University. She also holds a Masters’ Degree in New Media and Journalism from the same University. She holds a BA was in Accounting, from the Department of Management and Economics, of Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece, and a second BA in Communication and Mass Media, from the Department of Communication and Media Studies of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Ηer research interests focus on Communication and Media, Journalism, Semiotic Analysis of Political Behavior, Social Media, Data Mining (Facebook, Twitter etc), Sentiment Analysis, Political Communication, Big Data Analysis and Computational Social Sciences.

She is a member of the Greek Society of Political Science, the Greek Association of Communication Scientists - Journalism and Culture and the Hellenic Semiotic Society.

She was honored with the 4th honorable mention, among 93 entries from around the world, in a contest organized by Georgetown University in Washington in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University for the visualization of data related to coronavirus cases in real time.

Peponi K. Aggeliki

PhD dissertation title: "Representations of sexual crime in the electronic (cyber) press"

Angeliki K. Peponi was born in Ancient Corinth of Peloponnisos and lives in Athens. She studied at the Sociology Department of the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, from where she graduated in 2015 with a grade of "Excellent" (8.51). Right after the undergraduate course, in 2015, she continued her studies, attending the "Criminology" Master's Program of the Sociology Department of Panteion University, which she completed with a grade of "Excellent" (8.75). In the context of the graduate program "Criminology", she prepared her dissertation, which is entitled "A study of the informal social reaction to sexual aggression in new media: the case of Myrto".
 
Since January 2019, she is a PhD student of the department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University, preparing her thesis, which is entitled "Representations of sexual crime in the electronic (cyber) press" and aims to understand the representations that are captured in new media, such as electronic press, when sexual crime is added to the equation. Her main research interests are the study of representations of crime in new media, the study of sexual crime/criminality, the influence of public space on new media representations, social reaction, etc..
 
Since 2018, she is a member of the editorial team of the online magazine of the Center for the Study of Crime (KE.M.E) "Crime Times" and writes articles on the basic theme of crime and its manifestations/approaches. She has participated in research projects and scientific publications, while she is a member of the management team of the Doctoral CMClub of the Department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University.

Μεσσήνη Σοφία

Είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού διπλώματος σπουδών «Νέων Μέσων και Δημοσιογραφίας» από το ίδιο Πανεπιστήμιο, ενώ οι προπτυχιακές της σπουδές είναι αρχικά στον τομέα της Λογιστικής (2001-2005) Σχολή Διοίκησης και Οικονομίας, ΤΕΙ Δυτικής Ελλάδας και ακολούθως στον τομέα της Δημοσιογραφίας (2008-2012), στο τμήμα Επικοινωνίας και Μέσων Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης του Εθνικού Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών.

Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζονται στην Επικοινωνία και τα Νέα Μέσα, στη Δημοσιογραφία, στη Σημειωτική Ανάλυση της Πολιτικής Συμπεριφοράς, στην Επιστήμη των Δεδομένων (Data Science), στην Εξόρυξη αυτών από τα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης (Twitter, Facebook), την Ανάλυση Συναισθήματος και Περιεχομένου και στη Πολιτική Επικοινωνία.

Είναι μέλος της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Πολιτικής Επιστήμης, του Πανελλήνιου Συλλόγου Επιστημόνων Δημοσιογραφίας Μέσων και Πολιτισμού και της Ελληνικής Σημειωτικής Εταιρείας .

Έχει διακριθεί με την 4η θέση εύφημης μνείας, ανάμεσα σε 93 συμμετοχές από όλο τον κόσμο, σε διαγωνισμό που διοργάνωσε το Πανεπιστήμιο Georgetown της Ουάσιγκτον σε συνεργασία με το Πανεπιστήμιο Johns Hopkins για την οπτικοποίηση δεδομένων που αφορούσαν τα κρούσματα του κορονοϊου σε πραγματικό χρόνο.

Kontolatou Marianna

PhD dissertation title:"The Challenges in the Management of the Refugee Issue: Actors and Public Policies"
Supervisor: Associate Professor Marianna Psylla.

 

Marianna Kontolatou, with origins from Mani, grew up in Athens where she lives. She studied Communication, Marketing and Public Relations at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University. Then, she completed her postgraduate studies in "New Media and Journalism" with "honours" at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion University, by conducting her first research on the refugee issue, since 2015, for the writing of her postgraduate diploma thesis entitled "The Refugee Issue : Actions and Public Policies. Since June 2018, she has been conducting her PhD research at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture at Panteion, on the theme " The Challenges in the Management of the Refugee Issue: Actions and Public Policies. Supervisor of her dissertation at Panteion is Associate Professor Mrs. Marianna Psylla.

Her research interests include Political Communication, Communication and Media, Journalism and Social Media, the Refugee Issue, Cultural Journalism and Cultural Diversity, Public Policies, and Digital Marketing and Multimedia Narrative.

She is also a member of the research team of the international program "Erasmus + Strategies Cultural Diversity CODES". The European CODES program is an Erasmus + key action 1: Strategic Partnerships, co-ordinated by the Lumière Lyon 2 University of France, bringing together research teams from six European countries (France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Romania) with the aim of directly linking the university with society and defining the role of education in managing diversity and multiculturalism.

She also writes articles on Medium and has been worked as a radio producer on “Spam Radio.gr” - Internet radio at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture, where she has been conducted reportage about immigration issues, travelling and living abroad and Erasmus programs. Among other things, she has been worked as a web article writer and social media editor, and has participated in the 23rd Pan-Hellenic Youth Parliament under the auspices of NGO "Safia" (Student Association for International Affairs) as a member of the Academic Evaluation Committee, of the proposals submitted by the committees of students from various parts of Greece.

Κοντολάτου Μαριάννα

 Τίτλος διατριβής: “Οι προκλήσεις στη διαχείριση του προσφυγικού ζητήματος: Δρώντες και Δημόσιες Πολιτικές”

Η Μαριάννα Κοντολάτου με καταγωγή από τη Μάνη, μεγάλωσε στην Αθήνα όπου και ζει. Σπούδασε Επικοινωνία, Μάρκετινγκ και Δημόσιες σχέσεις στο τμήμα Επικοινωνίας, Μέσων και Πολιτισμού στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο. Έπειτα, ολοκλήρωσε τις μεταπτυχιακές της σπουδές με τίτλο «Νέα Μέσα και Δημοσιογραφία» με «άριστα» στο τμήμα Επικοινωνίας Μέσων και Πολιτισμού του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου, πραγματοποιώντας την πρώτη της έρευνα επί του προσφυγικού ζητήματος, από το 2015, για τη συγγραφή της μεταπτυχιακής διπλωματικής της εργασίας με τίτλο «Το προσφυγικό ζήτημα: Δρώντες και Δημόσιες Πολιτικές. Από τον Ιούνιο του 2018, εκπονεί τη διατριβή της στο τμήμα Επικοινωνίας Μέσων και Πολιτισμού του Παντείου με θέμα: «Οι προκλήσεις στη διαχείριση του προσφυγικού ζητήματος: Δρώντες και Δημόσιες Πολιτικές. Επιβλέπουσα της διατριβής της στο Πάντειο είναι η Αναπληρώτρια καθηγήτρια κα Μαριάννα Ψύλλα.

Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν την Πολιτική Επικοινωνία, Επικοινωνία και ΜΜΕ, Δημοσιογραφία και Social Media, το Προσφυγικό Ζήτημα, την Πολιτισμική Δημοσιογραφία και την Πολιτισμική Διαφορετικότητα, τις Δημόσιες Πολιτικές, αλλά και το Digital Marketing και την Πολυμεσική Αφήγηση.

Αποτελεί μέλος της ερευνητικής ομάδας του Παντείου του διεθνούς προγράμματος “Erasmus+Strategies Πολιτισμική Διαφορετικότητα CODES”. Το ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα CODES συνιστά ένα διαπανεπιστημιακό πρόγραμμα (Erasmus+ key action 1: Strategic Partnerships), που υπό το συντονισμό του Πανεπιστημίου Lumière Lyon 2 της Γαλλίας, φέρνει σε συνεργασία ερευνητικές ομάδες πανεπιστημίων έξι ευρωπαϊκών χωρών (Γαλλία, Γερμανία, Ελλάδα, Ιταλία, Πορτογαλία, Ρουμανία), με σκοπό την άμεση σύνδεση του πανεπιστημίου με την κοινωνία και τον καθορισμό του ρόλου της εκπαίδευσης στη διαχείριση της διαφορετικότητας και της πολυπολιτισμικότητας.

Αρθρογραφεί επίσης στο Medium, ενώ έχει εργαστεί ως ραδιοφωνική παραγωγός στο διαδικτυακό ραδιόφωνο του Τμήματος Επικοινωνίας, Μέσων και Πολιτισμού Spam Radio.gr , όπου ασχολήθηκε με το ραδιοφωνικό ρεπορτάζ για θέματα μετανάστευσης στο εξωτερικό και τα προγράμματα Erasmus. Μεταξύ άλλων, έχει εργαστεί ως αρθρογράφος σε sites και ως social media editor, ενώ συμμετείχε στο 23ο Πανελλήνιο Κοινοβούλιο Νέων υπό τη διοργάνωση της ΜΚΟ “Safia” (Student Association for International Affairs) ως μέλος της ακαδημαϊκής επιτροπής αξιολόγησης, των προτάσεων που κατατέθηκαν από τις επιτροπές των βουλευτών-φοιτητών από διάφορα μέρη της Ελλάδας.

Konstantopoulou Olympia

PhD disseration title: "The Social and Cultural role of the Radio in Greece from 1938-1966"

Supervisor: Professor Nikos Bakounakis

 

Olympia Konstantopoulou was born in Athens. She has graduated from the Greek Open University, at the department Studies in European Civilization and went on postgraduate studies at the department of Political Science and Public Administration: “ Political Science and Sociology” (National Kapodistrian University of Athens). Her thesis, entitled “Family Photography and Memory” involves the study of the role of the family photographs, as emotionally charged sociograms, in the formation of the family narrative. Her interests in research are associated with issues of cultural sociology: mass media, cultural and political practises and actions. It is this particular research field which she has participated and made presentations in, at conferences and publications.


Since March 2018, she has been carrying out a doctoral dissertation entitled “The social and cultural role of the Radio in Greece from 1938-1966” with professor Nikos Bakounakis’ supervision at the department of Communication, Media and Culture (Panteion University).


This dissertation attempts a sociological study of an old mean of communication, the Greek radio, during its first 28 years of existence. It focus on the research of innovations which are introduced through the radio in mass media such as novel narrative and technical means, as well as on the Greek radio experience as it is reflected in public and private life ( practises and meaningfulness)
