Katerina Karageorgou was born in Athens where she still resides. She holds two Bachelor  degrees  in Sociology and  in Media, Culture and Communication at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. She completed the transdepartmental Master's degree Music culture and communication; anthropological and communicative approaches of music, of the departments of Musicology and Media Studies at the Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also completed her music studies in piano, harmony and counterpoint at the National Conservatory of Athens.

Since January 2020, she is working on her PhD Research at the Media and Culture Communication Department at Panteion University titled «Music and political identity; the protest song during the crisis period in Greece. A sociological approach» under the supervision of assistant professor Pantelis Vatikiotis.

Her research interests concern the sociology of music, music in political movements and the communicative dimensions of music protest.

PhD dissertation title:  "Oneself as Threatening Other: Envy, Faction, National Schism in Modern Greek Literature".

Androniki Mastoraki was born and lives in Athens. She studied Greek Culture at Greek Open University and got her MA in Systematic Philosophy at National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her MA research was in the field of philosophy of mind and was entitled "Action Mimesis: The Example of the Stage Action". In January 2020 she has been conducting her PhD research at the Department of Communication, Media, and Culture at Panteion University on the theme "Oneself as Threatening Other: Envy, Faction, National Schism in Modern Greek Literature".

Professionally, she has worked in the publishing industry as a translator, editor and author. Since 2020 she runs a bookstore-cafe and she is responsible for BookLab Publications.

PhD dissertation title: “Nuberu Bagu, the Cinematic New Wave of Japan of the 1960s”

Supervisor: Maria Paradisi

Foivos Krommydas was born in Athens in 1990, where he currently resides. He studied Communication, Media and Culture at the Panteion University from 2008 until 2012 and he continued as a postgraduate in Cultural Management at the same university from 2012 to 2014. His Bachelor Thesis was titled “Coal and Sand” and centered on a comparative analysis of Hiroshi Teshigahara's first two movies and his Master's Thesis was about the aesthetic similarities between A Clockwork Orange and the Avant-Garde Art Movements of the 20th Century.

Since May 2017 he conducts his Phd Research at the Communication, Media and Culture Department at Panteion University on Nuberu Bagu, the Cinematic New Wave of Japan of the 1960s under the supervision of professor Maria Paradeisi.

He has worked as a film critic and a journalist on cinema and music at Popaganda, Clickatlife and Lifo, he has been a managing editor as well as website and social media manager for Cinefreaks and currently he assumes the role of cinema managing editor and a writer at Depart.

Η Μαρία Σκέντου γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη και ζει στην Αθήνα. Το 2015 αποφοίτησε από το Τμήμα Φιλολογίας της Φιλοσοφικής Σχολής του Α.Π.Θ. με βαθμό «Λίαν Καλώς» (7,24/10) και ειδίκευση στη Μεσαιωνική και Νέα Ελληνική Φιλολογία. Αμέσως μετά την αποφοίτησή της παρακολούθησε έναν μεταπτυχιακό κύκλο σπουδών (2015-2016) στη «Συγκριτική Λογοτεχνία: Λογοτεχνικές και Πολιτισμικές Σπουδές» του τμήματος Ισπανικής Φιλολογίας του Αυτόνομου Πανεπιστημίου της Βαρκελώνης, τον οποίο ολοκλήρωσε με «Άριστα» (8,62/10). Η διπλωματική της εργασία τιτλοφορείται «Αναγνώσεις στο έργο του Μαρκήσιου ντε Σαντ». Τον Απρίλιο του 2018 συμμετείχε στο IV Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο Los Textos del Cuerpo «Autorías Encarnadas: Representaciones intermediáticas y sexuadas de la creación cultural» (οργάνωση: Universidad Iberoamericana, Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona) με την ανακοίνωση «Ποίηση transgender/queer: μία φαινομενολογική προσέγγιση».

Από τον Μάρτιο του 2021, εκπονεί τη διατριβή της στο τμήμα Επικοινωνίας, Μέσων και Πολιτισμού του Παντείου, με θέμα «Ακαδημαϊκός λόγος και ελληνική γυναικεία γραφή: γυναίκες επιστήμονες των ανθρωπιστικών (και κοινωνικών) σπουδών γράφουν λογοτεχνία». Τα βασικά της ερευνητικά ενδιαφέροντα εστιάζουν στη θεωρία της λογοτεχνίας του 20ού και 21ου αιώνα, στην πολιτισμική ιστορία μέσα στα πλαίσια των Πολιτισμικών Σπουδών και σε ζητήματα διαμόρφωσης της ατομικής και συλλογικής ταυτότητας (μέσα από την ερμηνευτική σκοπιά της κριτικής ανάλυσης του λόγου, της φαινομενολογίας και των φεμινιστικών σπουδών).

Επαγγελματικά, έχει δραστηριοποιηθεί στον χώρο της ιδιωτικής δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης, έχει διδάξει –εθελοντικά και μη– τη νέα ελληνική ως ξένη γλώσσα στη Θεσσαλονίκη και τη Βαρκελώνη, έχει εργαστεί ως μεταφράστρια (από τα ισπανικά στα ελληνικά) και κειμενογράφος, καθώς επίσης και ως δασκάλα χορού φλαμένκο και χορεύτρια φλαμένκο στη Βαρκελώνη.

Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1990, όπου και κατοικεί. Σπούδασε Επικοινωνία, Μέσα και Πολιτισμό στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο από το 2008 έως το 2012 και έκανε το μεταπτυχιακό του στην Πολιτιστική Διαχείριση του ίδιου πανεπιστημίου από το 2012 έως το 2014. Η πτυχιακή του τιτλοφορούνταν «Άνθρακας και Άμμος» και αφορούσε τη σύγκριση των δύο πρώτων ταινιών του Hiroshi Teshigahara και η διπλωματική του σχετιζόταν με την αισθητική συγγένεια του Κουρδιστού Πορτοκαλιού με τα Επαναστατικά Κινήματα Τέχνης του 20ου Αιώνα.

Έχει διατελέσει κριτικός κινηματογράφου και αρθρογράφος σε θέματα που περιστρέφονται γύρω από τον κινηματογράφο και τη μουσική στην Popaganda, το Clickatlife και τη Lifo. Έχει υπάρξει αρχισυντάκτης και διαχειριστής του ιστοτόπου και των social media του Cinefreaks, ενώ αυτήν την περίοδο είναι κινηματογραφικός αρχισυντάκτης και αρθρογραφεί στο Depart.

PhD dissertation title: "Digital games development and Cultural policy: A study on Mediterranean digital games"

Maximos S. Theodoropoulos lives in Athens, where he was born as well. In 2015 he completed his studies at the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, in the Faculty of School of Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a grade "Very Good" (7,98). Subsequently, he received his master’s degree (M. Sc) in Cultural Management of Panteion University, with a grade "Excellent" (8,92). His postgraduate diploma thesis was titled “The Creation and the Development of digital games in Greece”.

Since January 2020, he has been conducting his PhD research at the Department of Communication, Media, and Culture at Panteion, with the temporary title “Digital games development and Cultural policy: A study on Mediterranean digital games”. His main research interests focus on the contemporary trends of digital games industry, the national/local digital games development, the media convergence, the digitation of cultural production and on issues of cultural policy involvement in the audiovisual sector.

On July 2020 he participated in the international conference “Spelunking 2020: Games, Cultures, Societies” (organization: University of York, York, UK), with a paper titled “Making a ‘scene’: The ascent of game development in Greece during the financial crisis”. Furthermore, on July 2021 he will participate in the international conference “Histories of Women in Film and Television: Then and Now” (organization: Women’s Film & Television History Network / Maynooth University, Kildare, Ireland), with a paper titled “From Being Heard to Being Seen: Female Creative Workers in the Greek Digital Audiovisual Sector”.

Η Κατερίνα Καραγεώργου γεννήθηκε και ζει στην Αθήνα. Είναι πτυχιούχος του τμήματος Κοινωνιολογίας και του τμήματος Επικοινωνίας, Μέσων και Πολιτισμού του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου Κοινωνικών και Πολιτικών Επιστημών. Είναι απόφοιτη του διατμηματικού προγράμματος μεταπτυχιακών σπουδών «Μουσική κουλτούρα και επικοινωνία: Ανθρωπολογικές και επικοινωνιακές προσεγγίσεις της μουσικής», των τμημάτων Μουσικολογίας και Επικοινωνίας και Μέσων Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης του Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Είναι επίσης πτυχιούχος πιάνου, αρμονίας και αντίστιξης από το Εθνικό Ωδείο.

Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα αφορούν στην κοινωνιολογία της μουσικής, μουσική και  πολιτικά κινήματα, όπως και στις επικοινωνιακές διαστάσεις της μουσικής διαμαρτυρίας.

Τίτλος διατριβής: "Πολιτισμικό Τραύμα και Χωρική Μετατόπιση: η χρήση εφαρμογών εικονικής πραγματικότητας στην περίπτωση της κοινότητας της Ποντοκώμης"

Η Ελένη Πνευματικού είναι αριστούχος απόφοιτη του Τμήματος Κινηματογράφου της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του Α.Π.Θ. και ειδικεύεται στη σκηνοθεσία, την παραγωγή και το μοντάζ. Είναι επίσης απόφοιτη του διιδρυματικού Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος "Εφαρμοσμένη-Κλινική Κοινωνιολογία & Τέχνη", του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου (Τμήμα Κοινωνιολογίας) και του Πανεπιστημίου Δυτικής Μακεδονίας (Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών).

Από το 2019 είναι ακαδημαϊκή υπότροφος στο Τμήμα Επικοινωνίας & Ψηφιακών Μέσων του Πανεπιστημίου Δυτικής Μακεδονίας, όπου διδάσκει εργαστηριακά μαθήματα λήψης και επεξεργασίας εικόνας.

Eργάζεται στην εταιρία οπτικοακουστικών παραγωγών PNEVMA Productions και έχει συμμετάσχει στις ομάδες σκηνοθεσίας και παραγωγής σε πολυάριθμες μικρού και μεγάλου μήκους ταινίες και μουσικά video clips. Έχει σκηνοθετήσει και μοντάρει πλήθος εκπαιδευτικών βίντεο για μουσεία, χώρους πολιτισμού και εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα (Erasmus, Horizon 2020, START) και είναι η σκηνοθέτης του TEDxThessaloniki, όπου και επιμελείται τα videos των ομιλιών. Επιπλέον το 2019 εργάστηκε στα Nu Boyana Film Studios στη Σόφια, σε συνεργασία με το ΕΚΟΜΕ.
