The contribution of the Veterans of the Greek War of Independence to the protection and preservation of Greek antiquities during the 19th century

Chrissa was born and raised in Athens, where she currently works as an archaeologist. She studied History and Archaeology at the University of Athens and received an MSc in Information Management in the Cultural Sector from City, University of London and an MA in Cultural Organisations Management from the Hellenic Open University. She is currently working on her PhD thesis under the supervision of Assistant Professor Andromache Gazi. Her research focuses on the contribution of the Veterans of the Greek War of Independence to the protection and preservation of Greek antiquities during the 19th century. In the past she has worked at the Benaki Museum, the Technological Educational Institute of Patras and the Greek Ministry of Culture.

Η Χρύσα Βασιλοπούλου γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στην Αθήνα, όπου σήμερα εργάζεται ως αρχαιολόγος. Σπούδασε Ιστορία και Αρχαιολογία στη Φιλοσοφική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου MSc Information Management in the Cultural Sector από το City, University of London και MA στη Διοίκηση Πολιτισμικών Μονάδων από το Ελληνικό Ανοιχτό Πανεπιστήμιο. Αυτή την περίοδο εκπονεί τη διδακτορική της διατριβή με θέμα «Περὶ τοῦ διορισμοῦ … ἀπομάχου ἵνα φυλάττῃ τάς ἀρχαιότητας. Ο ρόλος του Λόχου των Απομάχων στην προστασία των αρχαιοτήτων κατά τον 19ο αιώνα», με επιβλέπουσα την Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια Ανδρομάχη Γκαζή. Στο παρελθόν έχει εργαστεί στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη, το Τ.Ε.Ι. Πάτρας και σε υπηρεσίες του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού.

PhD Dissertation tiitle: "Crossover in Conflicting Youth Cultures: The case of heavy metal and punk in the UK. Visual, Lyrical and Musical interactions in the Social and Political Context of the Thatcher Era (1979-1990)".

Alexandros Anesiadis is a graduate of the School of Business and Tourism Administration, with a master's degree in Information Systems (M.I.S.). His research work includes the writing of 2 research books on the issue of music genre interaction (‘Crossover The Edge’, Cherry Red Books 2018 and ‘We Can be The New Wind’, Earth Island Books 2022), while also completing a third research book alongside Professor Yannis Skarpelos (to be published in 2022). He is currently working in the field of Media, and more specifically in the field of Social Media and Data Analysis.

PhD dissertation title: "Aiming for social change: activist museum practices and Greek museums"

Supervisor: Professor Andromache Gkazi

Andromachi Pandazi was born and lives in Athens. She is a graduate of the Department of Greek Philology of the University of Athens. She also graduated from the Department of Communication, Media and Culture of Panteion University. Subsequently she received her master’s degree (M.Sc) in Theory and Practice of Teaching and Evaluation (NKUoA) and in Distance Education (HOU). She works as a teacher in public secondary education. In 2024 she started working on her PhD thesis in the field of museum studies and specifically on activist practices in Greek museums, under the supervision of
Professor Andromache Gkazi.

PhD dissertation title: "Museum’s sound culture: strategies for the creative integration of sound in curatorial practice"

Supervisor: Associate Professor Andromache Gazi

Foteini Salmouka holds a MA in Cultural Management from Panteion University of Social and Political Studies (Department of Communication, Media and Culture), a BSc in Mathematics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of Mathematics), a Diploma in Composition and is an Advanced Music Theory graduate. Her PhD thesis (2019- , supervisor: Andromache Gazi, Associate Professor) “Museum’s sound culture: strategies for the creative integration of sound in curatorial practice” explores the relationship between museum and sound, from the formation of the museum institution until today, the role of sound in museum practice and the potential of the use of sound as an interpretive medium in museum exhibitions. Her research interests include the relationship between visual and auditory perception, the use of new technologies in the museum space, the evaluation of museum experience and digital museology.

Τίτλος διατριβής: "Τέχνη και Πολιτική: Η καλλιτεχνική παραγωγή του Ελληνικού Εμφυλίου (1946-1949) και της εξορίας (1946-1967)"

Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1996, όπου ζει σήμερα. Σπούδασε «Θεωρία και Ιστορία της τέχνης» στην Ανώτατη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών (2014-2018), και ολοκλήρωσε με άριστα τις μεταπτυχιακές της σπουδές «Νεότερη και Σύγχρονη Ιστορία» στο Πανεπιστήμιο Νεάπολης Πάφου στην Κύπρο (2020-2022). Το 2022 ξεκίνησε τη διδακτορική της έρευνα με έμφαση στο πολιτικό υπόβαθρο της τέχνης.

Ασχολείται με τις εικαστικές τέχνες και την ποίηση επικεντρώνοντας το ενδιαφέρον στο πολιτικό χαρακτήρα της τέχνης. Έκανε μαθήματα ελεύθερου σχεδίου, ενώ είναι αυτοδίδακτη στο λάδι επάνω σε καμβά.

Έχει παρακολουθήσει εννέα πιστοποιημένα σεμινάρια στο Harvard University, National Research University Moscow, ΜΟΜΑ, University of Virginia, University of London- SOAS, University of Edinburgh, The Michigan State School of Journalism και Wesleyan University (2021-2022), στις εξής θεματικές: Πολιτική, Φιλοσοφία, Μοντέρνα Τέχνη, Θρησκεία, Δημοσιογραφία, Παγκόσμια Ιστορία και Γεωπολιτική.

Έχει συμμετάσχει σε επτά Διεθνή και εγχώρια επιστημονικά συνέδρια (2021-2023), ενώ παρουσίασε μέρη από τη διδακτορική της έρευνα στη Πολωνία (2023). Έχει δημοσιεύσει επιστημονικό ερευνητικό έργο, και κριτική τέχνης για την Αγιογράφο Ελένη Αντωνακάκη.

Είναι μέλος του Association for Art History στη Βρετανία, στην Ελληνική Σκακιστική Ομοσπονδία, Πανελλήνια Φιλοζωική Ομοσπονδία (ΠΦΟ), Ελληνικό Σύλλογο Προστασίας Ιπποειδών (ΕΣΠΙ).

Agni Apostolidou was born in Thessaloniki and studied art history and archaeology at “Sapienza” University in Rome. She completed a Master degree in Museum and Gallery Management at City University in London.

She started her career at the Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens and for the last twelve years she has been working at the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, at the Department of Exhibitions, Communication & Education. Involved for the last twenty years in museum promotion and curatorship, she participated in numerous museum projects exhibitions, European programs and international workshops.

During recent years, as a PhD candidate at the Department of Communication, Media, and Culture of the Panteion University under the supervision of associate professor Andromache Gazi, she had the possibility to focus on her main scientific interest which is the “Exhibition and reinterpretation of religious objects in museums”.

Ο Γιάννης Παπακώστας, γεννημένος στην Αθήνα το 1967. Είναι απόφοιτος του Τμήματος Ανθρωπιστικών Σπουδών του Ε.Α.Π., με κατεύθυνση στον Ελληνικό Πολιτισμό, και κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου σπουδών στην Πολιτιστική Διαχείριση του Τμήματος Ε.Μ.ΠΟ. του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου.

Εργάζεται στην Περιφέρεια Αττικής στη Δ/νση Αθλητισμού και Πολιτισμού με τομέα ευθύνης του την αδειοδότηση και λειτουργία των αθλητικών εγκαταστάσεων.

Έχει συμμετάσχει στην Οργάνωση και πραγματοποίηση του Σχεδίου TOMOD, Κατοικία και Οικιακή Ζωή στις πόλεις Τόπειρος - Ξάνθη, Moordorf, Odder στον 19ο αιώνα, στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος «Culture 2000». Έχει συμμετάσχει επίσης σε επιστημονικές ημερίδες του ΕΑΠ, καθώς και σε σεμινάριο του ΕΚΠΑ με τίτλο «Από τον Λόγο στην Εικόνα: Σχέσεις Λογοτεχνίας και Κινηματογράφου» στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος «Καινοτόμες Εφαρμογές στην Εκπαίδευση & τον Πολιτισμό». Έχει δημοσιεύσει στον ιστότοπο https://www.academia.edu/ επιστημονική εργασία με τίτλο: «Ο Δράκος του Κούνδουρου. Μια σημαίνουσα παρέκκλιση στον ελληνικό κινηματογράφο» και στον ιστότοπο https://www.polisapolis.gr/el/ επιστημονική εργασία στο πλαίσιο του ΠΜΣ (ομαδική) με τίτλο: «Η επικοινωνιακή διαχείριση του Ανθρώπινου πόνου».

Το 2020 συμμετείχε ως εισηγητής στο 7ο Συνέδριο της Ελληνικής Κοινωνιολογικής Εταιρείας/ΕΚΕ με θέμα «Το δικαίωμα στην κατάληψη και το άσυλο της κατοικίας».                           

Στην παρούσα φάση, από το 2019 εκπονεί διδακτορική διατριβή με επιβλέπουσα την  Αναπληρώτρια Καθηγήτρια Χρυσάνθη Αυλάμη και θέμα «Το συγκρουσιακό τοπίο στα ορφανά της Λεωφόρου Αλεξάνδρας», όπου  ως “ορφανά” εξετάζονται ως μελέτες περίπτωσης οι Προσφυγικές πολυκατοικίες της Λεωφόρου Αλεξάνδρας και το Πεδίον του Άρεως.

Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα άπτονται των τομέων γεωγραφίας του αστικού τοπίου, της ιστορίας των κοινωνικών συγκρούσεων αλλά και του πολιτισμικού διαλόγου μέσα στην πόλη. Ασχολείται με την Προφορική Ιστορία και είναι μέλος της ομάδας Προφορικής Ιστορίας Πετραλώνων Θησείου (ΟΠΙΠΕΘ).

Η Ανδρονίκη Μαστοράκη γεννήθηκε και ζει στην Αθήνα. Σπούδασε Ελληνικό Πολιτισμό στο Ανοιχτό Πανεπιστήμιο και ολοκλήρωσε το μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα Συστηματική Φιλοσοφία στο ΕΚΠΑ. Η μεταπτυχιακή της έρευνα αφορούσε τον τομέα της φιλοσοφίας του νου και είχε τον τίτλο «Μίμηση Πράξεως: Το παράδειγμα της επί σκηνής δράσης». 

Επαγγελματικά δραστηριοποιείται στον χώρο των εκδόσεων ως μεταφράστρια, επιμελήτρια και συγγραφέας. Από το 2020 διατηρεί ένα βιβλιοπωλείο-καφέ και είναι υπεύθυνη των εκδόσεων BookLab.
